hi just a quick update. I had the MRI earlier this week and have been to see the Dr today who did another scan this is the letter she gave me to give my midwife.

The situation remains stable. The fetus is growing normally with normal liquor and UAPI. MRI has revealed that the fetus has a dandy walker variant. This in conjunction with the earlier hydrops still raises the possibility of a chromosome abnormality including Down's syndrome. There is a risk of the baby dying in the neonatal period due to the brain abnormality which would be a higher risk if there was an associated chromosome abnormality. The dandy walker variant is associated with a range of possible outcomes for the fetus. There is a risk of learning difficulties as well as physical handicap. It is very difficult to quantify the risks particularly in the absence of a specific diagnosis and the associated fetal hydrops.

I haven't got another appointment with her now for another 4weeks so all we can do now is keep positive and praying for the best
